C3 celebrated The Three Stooges 75th Year Anniversary with Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson (“Cheers,” “The People Vs. Larry Flynt”) as he hosted NBC’s “The Three Stooges’ 75th Anniversary Special,” that originally aired in 2003. This one-hour event marked three-quarters of a century of entertainment from The Three Stooges — one of the world’s most-beloved comedy teams.
The Three Stooges Made For TV Movie
C3 told the story of how it all began in the ABC movie of the week which originally aired on April 24, 2000. Over 16.5 million households watched the Three Stooges television movie, and ABC had one of its best ratings nights of the year. By all accounts, the movie was a tremendous success. C3 teamed with Columbia Pictures, Storyline Productions and Mel Gibson’s Icon Productions for the original production.
