PRESENT TRAUMA is the story of Keith, a Marine who has recently returned from overseas combat in Afghanistan. Keith is struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and survivor’s guilt in the form of vivid hallucinations. Keith’s hallucinations often take the form of a former commanding officer who was lost in combat. Keith desperately wants to reconnect with his estranged wife and young son, but his inability to accept help prevents him from doing that. Over the course of the film with the help of his family and a relationship with a stray dog, Keith learns that there are some things in life that cannot be defeated on your own.
