DogHouse TV+ Debuts New Original Series Stories From The Pack With Pilot Episode, Beyond Balto
BURBANK, CA —DogHouse TV+© – which is owned by C3 Entertainment, Inc. – has announced the debut of its brand-new original series, Stories From The Pack. The new series explores history through the lens of dogs, and the extraordinary impact man’s best friend has had throughout the decades—from fighting on the battlefield to rescuing their owners from peril. At its heart, Stories From The Pack is built around a simple idea: every dog has a story to tell.
The debut episode, Beyond Balto, looks beyond the well-known story about the legendary 1925 Alaskan serum run. The 1995 animated film directed by Simon Wells and executive produced by Steven Spielberg helped introduce audiences to the story. However, the real-life mission involved dozens of dogs and mushers undertaking a desperate relay across hundreds of miles of brutal Alaskan wilderness to deliver lifesaving diphtheria serum to the children of Nome. The 30-minute documentary examines the heroics, hardships and sacrifices of the many dogs and mushers who took part, shining a light on the often-overlooked figures behind one of the most remarkable rescue missions in history.
Stories From The Pack: Beyond Balto– which was Executive Produced by C3 Entertainment, Inc. President Earl M. Benjamin – was created by David Vallejo, who serves as writer, director, editor and narrator, and created the episode’s 3D animation. Aspen Yang provided visual graphics, additional 3D assets and historical figure recreations, along with additional editing, while Amy Szmik contributed script editing, archival research and historical research on the 1925 serum run.
With Stories From The Pack, DogHouse TV+© aims to uncover the fascinating and sometimes forgotten stories of dogs throughout history, bringing their courage, loyalty, and influence to life through compelling documentary storytelling. Beyond Balto marks the beginning of a series dedicated to discovering the remarkable stories waiting to be told—from famous canine heroes to the dogs whose contributions have largely been forgotten.
Stories From The Pack: Beyond Balto can be found exclusively on the DogHouse TV+ Entertainment YouTube channel starting Friday, August 28th at 3 PM PST, and will be added to DogHouse TV+© Entertainment’s FAST channels.
